Remember in season 2 of Sex and the City when Carrie Bradshaw had that long, blonde hair? I’m obsessed with her hair in this season and watching it only made me miss my long hair more. I bet if they were filming today that stylist would have Oribe and R+Co on set. Truth is, it’s time for a new fresh look. I wanted to share with you some of the best rated hair products for extensions, colored and treated hair I could find. Also, I wanted to introduce you to Amanda who did my transformation. Last, I included the steps it takes to get my hair the way it looks in this photo. I promise a video tutorial is coming soon! You too can have what the magazine dean as best rated hair!
Yesterday I was able to finally keep my hair appointment with Amanda, after canceling it several times due to hurricane Harvey. In August I spent some time getting back on my “me time” schedule and having my hair done concluded that time perfectly. We added some color and extensions…no shame in my game! It was quite a shock at first but by the time we were done styling it, I was already in love with my new Beyonce look. A huge thank you to Amanda for helping me look my best for Fashion Week and for my Poshfest event this month. My hair inspiration was not only Carrie Bradshaw but Huntforstyles. She has the best hair. The placement of her highlights is perfect.
If any of you want more information on the type of extensions Amanda used then you are more than welcome to reach out to her on her instagram.
Goof hair from beginning to the ends!
Step by Step for best rated style
1. I love to double wash. Now that I have a few highlights the Brilliance and Shine shampoo will really help maintain the bright color.
2. Leave the conditioner in, for about 5-10 min. This gives the Oribe conditioner time to soak in.
3. Straight Away is a new product for me. I’ve only used it a handful of times and the difference I noticed is the softness. While it’s purpose is to help with heat, it also leaves you with a silky feel. This will draw in any man too. It smells amazing.
If you live anywhere that has humidity then you will love me for this introduction. I first ordered a small purse size of the Oribe Impermeable just to try it out. Needless to say I now have the large size. You can spray as little or as much as you need. This isn’t a strong hold spray that leaves your hair stringy. Keep in mind this is an investment. Trust me when I say you’ll want to always have it with you.
You will never look back once you try the dry texturizing spray. You can really cake this on and isn’t oily or greasy. In fact, it leaves you with perfectly soft for running your fingers through feel. You’ll have the best style that lasts. The smell is amazing and lasting too. I use this when I use my curling iron. It’s great for adding a little volume (not that I need any extra).
I did quite a bit of research before I found the R+Co anti frizz spray. If you’re looking to have the best rated style around then R+Co is a must have. So many products out there say they help but really they make me feel like I sprayed a can of hairspray in my hair vs the feeling of 57 degree weather. This is a double bonus buy. During the winter when your hair can become dry and have static electricity in it…R+CO Foil also helps control that. It’s a total win!
There you have it. The first step to amazing hair is product. Try these and you’ll never be happier.
