Play hard, travel often.

That’s the Aviate motto. If you’ve never heard of them before, now you do. Everyone who knows me has seen me sporting my LAX baseball cap by Aviate, which is a testament to my big move out to California. Can you believe it’s been almost 6 months since I packed my bags and said goodbye to Texas?

It’s taken several months, but I finally feel settled. I’m connecting with old friends, making new ones, and getting in on the LA fashion scene as much as possible. The west coast is as trendy as can be, so I have a whole new fashion lens to look through now that I’m here every day. The street fashion is by far my favorite. I’ve seen some bold combinations – harem pants and bandeaus, lots of platform shoes, and lots of costume-y outfits. I’m near Hollywood, after all.

In homage to my roots at home, I couldn’t not buy Aviate’s Dallas (DAL) hat. So, depending on where I’m flying, I’ll throw either one of them on. It’s cute and fun, and I get a lot of people asking me where I got them because they’re so unique. And for those who travel, we all have a favorite airport (as miserable as they can be sometimes), or at least one we fly out of most often.

I’m excited to see how these next 6 months go. Of course, I’ll fill you in on my adventures.
