Banana Bread Heaven
This recipe is so easy. For anyone that likes to bake you probably have all these ingredients in your pantry right now. The only thing you really need to do is buy bananas and let them ripe. It’s been forever since I’ve had a good banana bread and forgot how great a homemade one taste. Let this be a staple in your home. Not to mention your house will smell amazing.
Ingredients
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- 1/2 cup butter
- 2 large eggs
- 3 ripe bananas mashed (about 1 1/2 cups)
- 1 Tablespoon milk
- 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 teaspoon baking soda
- 1 teaspoon salt
Directions
Start by setting your oven to 325°.
Using a mixer mix your sugar and butter until it’s lightly fluffy.
Add eggs, one at a time.
In another mixing bowl add the rest of the dry ingredients. You want to do this separately so that everything is disbursed evenly.
Add the dry ingredients to mixing bowl with the butter and sugar
Now add mashed bananas and milk (I use almond milk). Blend until combined.
Once everything is mixed well added ingredients into a loaf pan.
Place in the oven. Now this is where things can get a little sticky. Everyone’s oven is different. Most recipes will say this recipe should take an hour to an hour and 10 minutes. Mine actually took an hour and a half.
How to test to see if bread is done
Stick a fork or toothpick in the center of the bread. If the fork comes out clean it’s done. If you pull the fork out and it has the mixture sticking to it then it needs to cook a little longer.
There you have it. A simple banana recipe that is sure to a favorite.
In addition to my banana bread recipe, try my homemade biscuits over the weekend. Together you can make mommy and wife of the year. Good luck and let me know how it turns out for you!

I love eating not-so-ripe green bananas. But if I happen to have any ripe ones leftover at the end of the week, I turn them into banana bread! Yum

Ashlee, this recipe was so good! I also added a glaze … just a tiny bit of powdered sugar and milk. Keeps it really moist and it’s a nice after dinner treat with good coffee or tea. ❤️☕️

This is almost identical to the recipie I use! Only difference is we use a little sour cream and no milk.. I’m sure the almond milk is much healthier! I’ll have to try next time I make it!
