Whenever a celebrity collaborates with a store I like, I’m the first one to scour the looks. I want to see if the celeb’s personality shines through in the collection and make sure it’s not some kind of gimmick or knockoff. Because let’s face it, celebrities have all the latest designer duds – if they’re going to design a fashion line, it better be good!
The Eva Mendes Fall Collection for New York & Company does NOT disappoint. It’s ladylike, vintage, and incredibly appropriate for the fashionable working woman. Sure, it helps that Eva looks gorgeous in all the outfits, but even if she wasn’t associated with the collection, I’d still be obsessed with the looks. That’s when you know a collection is a homerun.
It’s September after all, so I’m starting to replace the bright summery colors with some more subdued looks. That means gem tones, suede, leather, and autumn colors are part of this season’s wardrobe. I got Eva’s suede pencil skirt and paired it with a turtle neck top and brown high-heel boots to share with you all. What do you think?
Check out the rest of her collection. It’s affordable and chic, and lots of you will find something they like. It’s not just for one type of person, and you can mix and match the looks. Goodbye summer, hello cozy fall outfits!
