Hello from LA all over again! This time I’m shooting poolside with the city in the backdrop. It makes for a peaceful, quiet, atmosphere, which is not something you’d typically expect in the outskirts of the city. I’m in love with the beautiful aqua pool, which contrasts with my all-white look.
2014 was all about the long pencil skirt and the mini crop, which I’ve done here with some of my favorite pieces from Windsor. You saw it on the red carpet from Beyoncé to Emma Stone. The look elongates your legs by wearing the skirt from mid-torso down. And the crop top is a cute “peekaboo” kind of piece, showing the slightest bit of midriff (which, let’s face it, there’s a classy way to do it, and a not so classy way. This, my friends, is how to do it right).
I’m also wild about this detailed charm necklace by Monica Vinader. It reminds me of an ancient Roman piece of jewelry with its intricate, embossed metal details. The irregular shaped stone gives the piece an organic look too.
Monica Vinader‘s pieces are typically made with luxurious gemstones and gold-plated frames. She’s based in London, but she’s certainly an international brand. I mean, I got them to ship this beautiful charm necklace all the way to Texas. And now I’m thinking about London…maybe Europe will be my next travel destination for an inspired photo shoot.
I love the gleaming shine! This dark emerald color looks amazing against a soft, white material. I added another pop of color with Ilia-Neon Angel lipstick.
Fierce look I got going below. To me, it screams fashion diva with a love for city life. The outfit is from Windsor, which I’ve worn many times before after discovering them this past Fall. As with many other brands I blog about, Windsor and Monica Vinader have that special, boutique-y feel, nothing like going into a huge department store. There are always new styles, unique pieces, and rotating collections.
Here’s to a fantastic 2015 full of charm, simplicity, and clarity.
