Another Easter, another egg hunt. I’m in the office brainstorming ideas for what to fill the eggs with. I try to avoid giving my girls too much candy. Have you seen how much sugar they put in candy? I’m all for it for a treat but candy all day is a bad combination with little ones. So this year, I’m working on filling eggs with (less sweet) treats, knick knacks, coins, etc. If your littles are anything like Navy, they’ll be happy with a leaf if you’re excited about it! I adore her grateful heart.
I know so many other moms always looking for things with little to no sugar. Our household loves sweets but I buy tend to buy more organic treats from stores like Central Market. So leave the candy and give it up to grandma… and let them stay the night there. The things I put on the list are the kind that keep kids busy for hours. Treat them and treat yourself to a simple puzzle.
Here’s a great list of treats and toys to put in your kids’ Easter eggs. I break up the crayons if they don’t fit. Now you have twice as many to spread out!
