Hair. It’s pretty much everything to a girl. Chop it, curl it, die it, twirl it. Our hair has seen some good days, and some embarrassing mishaps. Right now I’m in an experimental phase. As you know, I recently cut my hair. It was time. I needed to get rid of all the dry and damaged strands. Now I’m back on track for growing it out.
Thanks to Mario and Eric at Estilo Salon and Spa, this should be an easy process. I’m hoping by summer time it will be a nice full length again. Meanwhile, I’m back to all blonde again. I’m pretty excited about this. My hair needed a little life added to it, and the ombré look had played its part.
How often do you sit in a salon chair and say, “You tell me what looks best, and do it”? Not too often, because it’s rare to find a salon you can really trust. Rare to find a man with scissors who you can trust. It’s been many, many years since I’ve found someone with true talent and an eye for detail.
Listen, if you’re ever in the Houston area or live in town, you have to stop by and allow Mario and Eric to put their magical hands to work.
I love sharing my experiences with you all. Estilo salon and Spa is a quaint little salon that’s totally worth the trip. Mario and his team will treat you like family. When you arrive you’re walking into a Houston oasis. It smells wonderful, not like most salons that are buckets of fumes that make you gag. You’re greeted with a smile and your choice of a drink. You heard me right. I’ve been in there in the morning and customers are drinking champs. It’s a best kept secret.
They’re also known for their revitalizing facials. Vanessa is talented and really knows her stuff. I was blessed with a facial from her before going on “Bachelor in Paradise.” My face glowed for weeks. Investing in a facial product is also key for keeping that glowing skin in-between facials. Be sure to ask her what she recommends.
