Dear friends and readers, I’ve been looking forward to this week and this post for a very long time. This will come as news to a lot of you: I am finally making my official move to Los Angeles. It’s funny, because most people I meet think I’m from LA already. I wonder why? Do you think it’s only because I was on The Bachelor?
While I’m over the moon excited and can’t wait to start this new chapter of my life, a little part of me is sad, naturally. I’m not sad so much about leaving the weather or the long drives (Houston is very spread apart), I’m sad about leaving my family, my friends, and the security of everything I’ve ever known. I’ve built so much of my life here, it’s a little painful to say goodbye.
I won’t forget those I’ve worked close to either. KB Kasual, this post is for you. I love all your clothes, and I hope you miss be bugging you in the store all day long shopping for new stuff.
So why the sudden change? After my trip to Bali, I came home and just decided it was time. I’m still young, and the world is too big not to be explored.
And hey, as everyone has said to me so far, if it doesn’t work out I can always come back home. So cheers to those in LA. I look forward to all the healthy salads I can eat, to all the farmers’ market weekends and to the never-ending social scene I hope I can handle.
See you soon, LALA Land. Can’t wait to call you home.

It’s very courageous to leave behind the comforts and familiarity of the life you’ve known. Kudos to you for following your dream. Good luck with everything! Seems like an exciting adventure…

love this! I have also been on the verge of moving soon to another state away from home to Nashville, TN. Everyone has been saying the same thing- you can always move back! It’s also amazing how many people have told me stories of how they made a move like this and then met their now husband. Cheers to us for being young and adventurous! Your blog is such an inspiration! XO
