At least once a year, my family is invited to a white elephant party. If you’ve never heard of a White Elephant before, it’s a gift exchange party where each guest brings a gift and “steals” the gift they want if it has been opened by someone else. That’s the simplified version. It can get pretty intense and I have witnessed some hilarious moments. The party is way more fun if you bring a surprising gift. You’ll get a lot of reactions which makes the game that much more fun. Just gauge how taboo your group can handle!
Finding a couple knick knack gifts for us to enter the game with sounds easy enough. But, the price limits are what make it tricky and force you to get creative. I’ve been to parties with different price limits and each level has its challenges. The way I organized this gift guide should make it super easy to shop. So, find your number and scroll through the gift ideas! Mix it up this year by bringing something out of the box.
A couple of fun ideas right off the bat are funny board games, a houseplant book, new polaroid camera and a beer making kit. I bet you no one will think to bring the last one. I love Christmas party games. Everyone gets involved and that’s where the memories are made. I’m happy that my girls will grow up with these traditions and pass them on to their families. I’ve ordered my White Elephant gifts and now it’s time to get yours!
There’s a few deals in these categories so don’t wait until they’re over to buy! That’ll be cheating! Find your specified budget and get to shopping.
