Now that my hair is finally growing out, I am going to be sharing more and more hair tutorials along with tips. It has taken me almost a year to get my hair at a decent length to even want to share images.

I’ve also been keeping the hair extensions out and taken my biotin every day to help it stay healthy. I really feel as though the extensions were standing in the way of its growth. My goal is to have it right where I want it by next summer, 2017, when I plan on going to Hawaii for one of my dearest friend’s weddings. You’ll have to stay tuned for that.
Many of you love to write in and ask me questions about products I use. I hate that I kept promising you all this post earlier and not following through, but I promise you that I will be much better about my hair blog posting. PROMISE!
Today I wanted to share a post about my Remington Thermaluxe™ Dryer and Straightener (which you can pick up at any Target for under $40 in the appliance aisle in the beauty department).
The Dryer:
Now when it comes to a blow dryer I tend to get pretty picky. No shock there. Many dryers end up damaging your hair because they either blow too hard or get too hot. This is never a good thing if you’re one that washes your hair often. I tend to wash my hair once a week. If something is going on mid-week then I will give it another fresh wash. If I wash my hair too much it will end up getting frizzy and dried out. Plus my hair is it’s best on day two and three. The rest of the days it’s up in a ponytail or cute topknot.
What I love about the Thermaluxe Dryer is it dries my hair faster with way less heat damage. The professional AC motor and hybrid concentrator are specifically designed to help reduce hot spots and deliver high, even heat for a smooth, shiny finish. The dryer also features a salon professional, quality, tangle-free fabric cord for an easy drying experience. It’s really cute with its black and white combo. You all know I’m a sucker for cute looks like this.
The straightener:
Now listen, I know other brands out there promise the world and are all the rage, but if I don’t have to spend $200 on a product and it works just the same and, in this case better, why would I? My Remington Thermaluxe Thin Straightener was $39! AND I love the look of it. The fact that it matches my dryer may or may not be my favorite part. When I’m traveling and I pull both products out of my bag I get excited to see the combo. Sometimes I wonder if the maids ever want my things. Am I the only one out there that thinks this way?
The key points for my straightener are the advanced heating system delivers a consistent, even heat to the hair for faster straightening, and longer-lasting style. The front part of my hair has always and probably will always be the hardest part for me to grow out. Probably because it’s the part that gets ripped by my ponytail holders. The part I love about this straightener is just that key point, the setting. I need to be fragile and gentle with my hair, especially the front strands closest to my face. Other straighteners that have cost me an arm and leg don’t have setting controls and that never worked for me.
So there you have it, my lovelies. The two key essentials to styling my hair.

hi Ashlee! I am in the same boat trying to keep my hair healthy w/out heat damage and extensions / highlights and let it grow out. These heat tools seem worth checking out and at a price that wont break the bank. My question: What kind of Biotin do you use? What dosage? Thanks!
I buy different brands and look for the 10,000 mg. Sometimes I buy them from Kroger because they have buy one get one free and I double up. Thank you!
