Healthy skin, healthy hair, healthy digestion. These are certainly some of my personal #healthgoals, but that’s not what I’m here to talk about today. Today, it’s all about my baby Bailey and his new challenge! Just like I take care of my body, I work just as hard to make sure Bailey gets absolutely everything he needs so he can be a happy, healthy pup.
There are a lot of products out there for dogs, just like there are for us women. The key is understanding exactly what you’re buying, and how it benefits the end user. I can’t buy anything anymore unless I read all the labels.
Today was a great day with my little love one as I challenged him to a kayak adventure. I try to give him plenty of play time outdoors. I love being on the water and taking him paddle boarding with me but he’s never been on a kayak. One thing I can say about IAMS is that it’s been great for Bailey’s ability to do all activities with me. Today was no different than any other. Since switching his food (which is a delicate thing to do) I’ve seen a much more active boy. This makes me a very happy mama.
I just started Bailey on a new diet with IAMS™ dry dog food to transition him into a better diet. He’s used to his old food, so I made sure to slowly introduce the new food, starting by replacing 25% of his diet with IAMS™ the first few days, then 50%, then finally exclusively IAMS™ by day 7. At first he wasn’t used to the new food, so I was worried he wouldn’t eat it. But after a few days he loved the new flavors and was just as excited as always for mealtime. Dogs are always excited for food, right?
The Visible Difference with IAMS™ is that they use Omega-6 and Omega-3 fatty acids, which improves a dog’s skin and coat. These nutrients really do the job. Bailey’s coat is super shiny, and the food is definitely helping. Not only that, but IAMS™ uses a fiber blend beet pulp and a prebiotic, which promotes development of beneficial bacteria in your dog’s digestive system. Dogs need fiber too!
Although Bailey is normally an energetic little guy, I’ve noticed a change in his highs and lows. What I mean by that – he doesn’t crash as hard as he usually does, so he seems more balanced with his energy output, which makes it easier for me because he’s a bit more even-keel. I really think a more balanced diet helps with that, the same way when you eat healthy you probably just feel more “you”, and don’t have energy crashes thoughout the day.
Check it out! Start feeding them something delicious and nutritious! Let me know how it goes.
