I told you the crop top and pencil skirt look would be on a steady rise this season. Here it is, once again. This time, it’s a matching ensemble by Windsor. You’ll never believe how affordable this set is (well, not until you click on the link below to see for yourself).
This shoot reminds me of a vintage black and white movie, something reminiscent of the Katherine Hepburn and Irene Dunne era. The romantic magenta flowers, the lace, the peep-toe heels…sometimes I dream about co-starring with Bob Hope and living a 20th century Hollywood starlet life.
Can you imagine if they had reality TV shows back then? What would they even film? Television was so tame back then. Today we watch peoples’ lives be publicly shamed and manipulated while eating take-out food and laughing with our friends. Hey, I’m guilty of it too, but I’ve also been on the receiving end of that. TV back then was so simple.
Today I encourage you to unwind and take yourself back in time to a favorite moment. Whether that’s watching an old movie you like, reflecting on old photo albums, or calling up your grandmother and have her talk your ear off about “kids these days,” just remember to value the past.
