Lately it has been really hard to find me time. With the launch of my new blog finally done I can start to find some freedom. I miss being able to go to my local Kroger and drive my cart up and down each isle looking at everything. I miss not picking up my PEOPLE Magazine and then head to my favorite coffee shop to read it. This was a once a month (at least) practice of mine before I got married and before the relaunch of the blog started to get underway. There’s something about going through the pages of People and not thinking about my own life…unless I turn the page and see me!

Oh and huge thank you to PEOPLE for posting about my wedding! Ugh! MAGE! You can catch that online article incase you missed it. Nothing screams cooler than having one of the most trusted magazines out there write about our special wedding day. They nailed it by saying “stunning wedding”…because that it was.
After the wedding was over and we planned out honeymoon I thought I’d be able to find a lot more me time and get back into my PEOPLE reading with my coffee routine but that hasn’t happened. It was the new blog that stole my time for three months. Now, finally! The new blog is out and I’m getting such positive feedback from everyone. Thank you so so much. It’s really because of you that I am able to find “me time” and relax again.
Aaron was just saying to me the other day that he’s surprised I am not having lunch with my girlfriends and up at the corner coffee shop like I use to be. He’s so sweet. He said I need to make sure I am getting in some time outside of working to enjoy life and the little things I have always loved doing. So, this morning I took his advice. Man, I could have stayed there the entire day but truth is I go through my PEOPLE Magazine in about an hour and half. Yeah, that’s right. I read it cover to cover. One thing I can tell you from experience is that they really are the most trust worthy source out there. They fact check and make sure there isn’t any “fake media” articles. I’ve always respected that in them.
I think it’s more about the story being right then it is about the story being told first. However, because of their golden reputation celebrities love to take their news to them and have them be the first with it.
Wanna know what’s really funny? I came home this morning with my magazine and put my magazine on the coffee table. After dinner I saw Aaron reading reading it. I think it was the front cover that caught his attention. I mean, it doesn’t catch your eyes too?
One last thing here before I go is I wanted to mention the Special Edition of PEOPLE on Diana, Her Life and Legacy. You have to pick up this before it’s off the stands. It’s full of images and sweet moments she had with her sons. I was really young when she passed but even then as a young child I understood the impact Princess Diana’s life had on the British people. Not only was she special to them but she was and still is very special to the American people. She is a soul that passed away too early.
All in all today was good. It felt good to have some “me time” today. Now if I could do this once a week it would be awesome.

This is my favorite blog post because it reminded me of how important it is to have “me” time. I love my husband, family and friends, but I also think it’s important to have some alone time to do the things that nourish your soul. Have your coffee, read, meditate and collect your thoughts. So thank you for sharing this! I also love the top! And got it at Zara after reading this 🙂
