Do you dread moving? Or, are you like me and actually like it? I love the purging of things and how deep cleaning moving consist of. This is our last week in the house we are renting. While it was a great house because it saved us from flooding during Hurricane Harvey, it really isn’t mine and Aaron’s style.
It’s not spring cleaning but moving creates the same feeling of deep cleaning.
We moved into a 1923 bungalow when we got married thinking we’d love it. It was remodeled and cozy. Turns out, it’s either freezing cold in the winter and can’t cool down enough in the summer. The floors are original and you’d think that would be a huge perk. Until the floors are squeaky, so thin you can see the ground through them and have been known to give me a few splinters.
Needless to say, this move is going to be a good one. The house we are moving to is brand new. It’s a two story and almost double the size. The kitchen has great applianced and is a perfect place to host friends and family. We are pretty excited about the move.
I say all this to say…I really want to start sharing home decor with you all. It’s a passion of mine and since getting married I haven’t done anything towards this. The last few weeks I’ve been ordering chairs, tables, rugs, etc. Of course I need to get into the house to really get a feel of all the things we need. But I’m excited to share them all with you and get your opinions.
Until then, I wanted to share some of the things I’ve already purchased. Think of this as a little sneak peak as to what’s coming soon to the blog and social.

A tip that I learned from some of my designer friends, pillows are so expensive so shop at Home Goods, they have the best selection.
