I want lashes like Navy’s! They are so long and full. Oh to be a babe. Today I wanted to share all the info about my lashes, pros and cons. As you know I love a good, long lasting beauty hack or treatment. Just like getting my nail polish to last for more than a week. It’s these little things in life (and now as a mom) that make things run just a little smoother.
First thing to note, I’ve been getting my lashes done since March, 2014. They’ve been on without a break in between. So when people ask if they should take a break, the answer is “no”. You don’t have to.

How often do I get my eyelashes done?
When I first started out I was able to go once a month. Now my addiction has e going every 2 weeks.
Where do I get my lashes done?
I currently use Healen. You can too schedule a time with her- (832) 690-1053
How much does do I pay?
It’s $45 + tip. Don’t forget to tip! I leave an extra $5.
Does it damage your eyelashes?
This is a tricky question. If you go to a reputable place, no. If you go to your sisters, best friend’s, neighbor’s garage to get them done, yes.
How does someone get over being scared?
It goes with anything. You have to try to see. Again, go to a place you trust or by referral. Look, if you don’t like it, there’s a process you can take to get them removed. But if you don’t try, you will never know.
How do I get my lashes to last?
First off, you wait to wash your lashes for 24 hours, minimal. I will tend to get mine done, wear very little to no makeup and then was them closer to 48 hours.
Do I use a growth serum?
No, I have naturally long lashes. They are just really light.
Do they pull out your natural lashes?
It drives me crazy when people say they loose lashes and when they take them off they are all gone. What you don’t realize is that you get use to seeing them on within days. Even that soon, if you were to take them off you’d feel naked and that they were all gone. They aren’t. Of course that’s if you are going to a reputable place. I can’t vouch for a sketchy place.
And to answer the question, you naturally lose eyelashes everyday. If you pull or tug on the lashes then yes, you will pull out your own. Don’t do that. If you feel like they are bothering you…call your salon and asked them to adjust them.
Do they hurt?
They shouldn’t. I’ve asked Healen (my gal) about this and she says they weren’t put on correctly if they hurt.
How do I wash them?
Dial is your best friend. It’s recommended that you wait 24 hours to wash them but if you can wait longer, that’s best.
Gently put a pump on your fingers and swipe them out. Don’t pull on them or you’ll get soap in your eyes. Rinse gently with water only. No wash cloth or q-tips needed.
Can you wear makeup with them?
Yes, of course.
What style do I get?
I change up my eyelashes style, often. It depends on what I have going on. I get longest on the outside then go down one size in the center and then one more size down on the inner part. So, either 13, 12, 11 or 12, 11, 10. For my wedding and for TV appearances I do 14, 13, 12. Those tend to fall out faster because they are obviously heavier.
Is it worth the $$?
1,000% YES! Obviously, since I’ve been getting mine done since 2014.

Love these facts! One of my favourite things about eyelashes is how quick it is to get ready everyday with them and you still look done the days when you don’t want to wear makeup. My eyelashes are so light so without mascara, I look like I have none! Thanks for sharing this

I’ve had them a couple of times and definitely agree that you have to have a good technician apply them. The second place I went I couldn’t wait for them to fall out because I just felt like they were crooked, not full enough, and didn’t look right. When you get someone to apply them correctly they are the best and a major time saver for the day-to-day!
Your lashes look great! I did mine for about 9 months and loved it. Honestly as a mom it was about the only time I ever took a moment to myself and just actually did nothing. I would definitely love to start doing them again but I always make an excuse not to which is just silly. We mamas deserve to do nice things for ourselves! We work hard!

To be honest, I do not know. I’m sure someone will say yes. For me, I use the falsies.

Great info! I think as a mama of twins, I’d have a hard time finding time for the upkeep appts and justifying the cost. . At least while they’re little and alllllllllll the money goes to diapers and formula. Lol. But I’d love to try them in the future if I get the chance because I love that you don’t need much makeup when you have them on and eye makeup often irritates my contacts.

I had a really bad reaction to individual lashes so dont wear the. I love the look of lashes for special occasions so now i just use strip lashes. Takes some practice though getting them just right 😊
