There’s a lot I could say about my top baby products. One thing I have learned is that you don’t need all these toys and THINGS before baby arrives. Granted, I know you need to register for some baby items and by all means go for it. Maybe even use my list as guidance. I will say it’s fun to buy for baby as baby grows. Some items of course you want to have on hand but for the most part, don’t stress yourself while pregnant. You have plenty of time to get what baby will need. I wanted to share some of my favorite items to date. From diapers to toys, here are the products we love for our Navy Lee.
My Top Baby Products
DIAPERS
Aaron and I spent hours researching the best diapers while I was pregnant. It boiled down to Honest and Bambo. Ultimately we decided to go with Bambo. It was reported that Bambo diapers run big. We bought two packages of the honest to get us through until Navy’s first growth spirt. That came to an abrupt end…and quick. Honest would not hold anything in. We switched over to Bambo and haven’t looked back. They actually weren’t that big after all. These have been the best diapers and I can’t rave about them enough. They soak up everything they need to. The only thing that’s happen is if mommy or daddy didn’t put one on correctly (3am changing more likely).
Bambo is environmentally friendly. I know a lot of people don’t care about this but we do in our house. We want to do the best we can to help save mother earth.
I love how these diapers are plain white. I’m not into all the colors and design. Believe it or not, this is sort of hard to find. Most diapers have some sort of Disney or floral print to them. No thank you.
When it comes to prices I’ve done all the work for you. Amazon subscription has the best price. We order one box of 198, once a month and that get’s us through…sometimes it’s a tight squeeze. Amazon allows you to asked for your order to come early. It’s good to have an extra box on hand just in case.
WIPES
We LOVE WaterWipes. There hasn’t been any discussion rather we’d use anything else. I’m confident about the ingredients. Navy can put them in her mouth and mommy doesn’t have to worry. These bring me peace and confidence when it comes to cleaning Navy and knowing I’m using the best product out there.
WaterWipes are safe for sensitive skin and we’ve had zero diaper rashes. They are alcohol-free and have the Awarded National Eczema Association of America Seal of Acceptance. We also use them everyday to clean Navy’s face and neck area. It’s important to keep that area clean and again, I have such confidence when using WaterWipes!
I love the convenience of Amazon and also have these on subscription. We order 540 Count (9 Packs of 60 Count) for each month. This amount has been getting us through. Like with the diapers we have an extra box just in case we get close to the delivery date and start to get low.
The only thing about these wipes you have to be careful with is opening them and using them up before opening another one. Because they don’t have preservatives they will spoil after about a week.
TIGHTS and SOCKS
I’m not sure why it’s so hard to find tights for small babies but it is. Navy was born 6lbs, 11oz. About a month later it began to get cooler and I wanted some tights for her. One of my sweet followers, Molly sent me a pair from her Etsy boutique and I fell in love with them. We now have them in every color!
Made By Molly also has this same ribbed style in socks. Elsy (Navy’s nanny) tells me every time we go to put them on how much she loves them. They stay on. Now that Navy is growing she likes to rub her feet together and she’ll kick off her socks. These take a lot longer. I’m usually able to catch it before they are all the way off.
It’s so great to help small businesses and this is one I love to support. Molly is the sweetest and easy to work with. Email her and she’ll keep you up to date on when she restocks. These small tights sell fast…like I said, they are hard to find! Over the holidays she offered my followers a discount. Keep following along and looking for this. I hope to do it again.
BOWS
When it comes to bows there are hundreds and hundreds out there to fall in love with. I’ve tried really hard to not get carried away. I’ve narrowed it down to a few different ones that you always see Navy wearing.
Aubrey Gianna: Every time I have an Aubrey Gianna bow on Navy you all overload my inbox with questions. They are made with really soft material and they fit smaller heads as well.
Made by Molly Morehouse: these are leather headbands. She also has other styles but the leather ones are my absolute favorite. It’s a more modern twist for a classy baby. She also carries cute bloomers and shoes that you want to be sure to take a look at.
BLANKET
If you missed my giveaway then I apologize now. I teamed up with our favorite blanket company, Little Giraffe. This was actually a gift originally given to Navy by one of my sweetest friends, Erica. My ring-bearer and flower girl‘s mother. Both of her children have a Little Giraffe blanket and they loved them. Little did I know we would love it just as much.
If you’re looking to gift a new mommy something then this is the blanket you’ll want to gift. They’ll receive 100 but this one will stand out above the rest. Promise. Made of the finest material Little Giraffe carry blankets, robes, plush toys and teethers. I wouldn’t be surprised if you pick something up for yourself.
NIGHT TIME
I was super nervous to start putting Navy in her bassinet after co-sleeping with her. By the time it came around to that time, I was ready. She started to wiggle so much that neither one of us were getting much sleep anymore. I purchased the Baby Merlin Magic Suit. The title is just that…MAGIC. Night one wasn’t that easy but I pushed through the cries and we have been doing great (both mommy and baby) ever since. This suit stops her from jolting herself awake during the night. It also keeps her warm, since our room gets pretty cold at night. Maybe this should have been the first item I talked about because I love it so much. This is another great item to think about buying a mommy to be! It’s a great way to transition baby form either co-sleeping or from bassinet to their own bed. If you get this or have it, let me know what you think.
TUMMY TIME
Navy’s aunt Kitty gave her this tummy time mat for Christmas. What I love so much about it is that Navy actually stays on it longer than any other mat we have. She is not a fan of tummy time! I also love the soft colors of it. Perfect for a little girl. It’s more dainty.
LINKED RINGS
Navy has been playing with these for as long as she can grab something. I love how they interlock and you can hang them on things. For example we will hang them on her car seat as we drive or even on her tummy time play mat.
PLAYBOOK
We love the Skip Hop Play Book and have been playing with it since Navy was 2 months old and we started tummy time. It has some sort of paper inside that makes a crinkling noise. She LOVES this. Now that Navy is reaching she loves it even more. She will hold onto it for the longest time.
MAM PACIFIER
Becoming a mom means becoming a researcher of everything. We started off with the Wubbanub pacifier. For the life of me I could not get it to stay in her mouth. Then I started researching pacifiers and realized how those weren’t good for her dental growth. This prompted me to do more research and find ones that were dental friendly and smaller. The one that has great reviews and is now the only one we use (when we do use one) is the MAM Paci.
I found these adorable paci’s that can be monogrammed from Pacidoodle. You can order them on Amazon and get 2 day shipping if you’re a Prime member. We LOVE ours.
ACTIVITY CENTER
So many of you have been asking me about the details of Navy’s activity station that she plays in every day. It’s not a bouncer but does have a three-step stage that grows with the baby. I love the option of softer colors for a little girl. We put this together when Navy turned three months and start putting her inside around 3 1/2 months. I think this is great, as it helps them with strength. It also allows mommy a chance to walk into the kitchen to make dinner.
BABY WASH
Mustela!! I only thought I did a ton of research before Navy got here. Truth is, you won’t know what your baby needs until baby arrives. Mustela has been our product of choice. Navy got dry scalp from me using wash in her head. I didn’t realize it would dry her scalp. New mom problems. I ordered the cradle cap shampoo in this dried up her scalp up right away. Seeing results so quickly I decided to order all the sensitive skin care line. It’s great and I plan to even get some product for myself. These are the three items we use everyday.
BABY EINSTEIN FISH
Baby Navy loves her fish bowl on her bed. While she isn’t sleeping in her big bed yet, I am able to place her in there for little naps during the day and she just watches Baby Einstein. It’s really cute. These little fish swim around the screen while music plays.
ACRYLIC HANGERS
Want to amp up the look of your babies closet? Then order a few sets of these acrylic hangers. I absolutely love the way they look in her closet.
I started off order a few sets and as I’ve grown her closet wardrobe, I’ve ordered more. This way it’s not a big price all at once.
BREAST PUMP
This might be the number one question I get asked across my social media. So, I figured I’d add it to the list of products that get me through having a baby. The breast pump that I use is the Sonata by Medela.
Several reasons why I love this one so much. The first reason is because it’s mobile and runs on a battery as well as a plug in charge. So, if I know I’m going to be out and about longer and can’t run home to pump, I take this with me and pump wherever I can. This has saved me so many times.
Another reason I like it is because the functions are user-friendly. It even tells me if the pump is not on properly placed on. If you’re on the hunt for a breast pump, you’ll love this one.
These are my must-have items to date. If I think of something else along the way I’ll added to this list and be sure to share with you guys. But for now these are the items I absolutely cannot live without and feel like he would love too.

Thanks for sharing these! My 7 week old is dealing with cradle cap so I’m going to check out that shampoo you use! I also might look into that tummy time mat. It’s a great price!
This is the kind of list I’ve been after!! Thank you for sharing your favorites! I will be referring back to this often!
Thank you for being such an honest momma. I SO enjoy tour insta stories. They make my day. She’s absolutely gorgeous. I also love how candid you are about the negativity. These people are just like me, normal mommas, but the two cents isn’t always welcome, and I don’t know how you do it. Thank you for having an outlet for me!! My days without my babies are still hard. They are 10, and 3, and I still hate going to work and leaving them. I watch your stories on my lunch break and love seeing what you’re up to for the day!
Thank you very much Ashlee for sharing this, just had my baby 4 weeks ago and your opinion is very helpful especially on diapers.
OMGOSH! Congrats!
This is my fav post as an expecting mom! I have definitely added some of these products to my registry! Thanks!
