Believe it or not, jeans were patented back in the late 1800s. It’s amazing that something as simple as “the jean” has lasted so long. Granted, we’ve seen hundreds of different kinds of styles, from the 70s flare to the modern skinny jean. Either way, I honestly don’t think jeans will ever go out of style.
The high-waisted look is hard to pull off sometimes. You don’t want to have the dreaded “mom jeans” look, am I right? A few things to consider: choose jeans that fit snugly, stick to darker washes, and make sure your high-waisted jeans have some sexy style. Anything too baggy will make your booty fall flat.
This fall I’m excited to wear my high-waisted Jennifer Hudson jeans from New York & Co. First off, Jennifer Hudson is a DOLL and she was one of my favorite American Idol contestants. I really think she’s kept it real despite all the fame. So of course I had to see what her line with NY & Company was all about. They’re just the right shade of dark, and I like the zippers in the front that add some flare.
So remember, when all else fails fashion-wise, just buy another pair of jeans. You can’t go wrong.
