Today’s post is a bit different. About a month ago Aaron and I went to the bank to open an account for baby Williams and to my surprise a lot of you DM’d me about it. I have to say, it was a pleasant surprise that more of you than I thought are into financial planning for your little ones. Since sharing this optimistic, pivotal point in mine and Aaron’s live we decided to team up with Frost Bank (so thank you for sponsoring this VIP) to share some valuable knowledge with you, as well as some planning goals for baby Williams.
Frost 30-Day Optimism Challenge
Part of the Frost Bank mission statement say’s, “Research shows that choosing optimism can be a catalyst to better physical, emotional and even financial health”. That doesn’t surprise me. Frost Bank is doing something I felt compelled to share with you all. It’s a 30-Day Optimism Challenge campaign. Here’s how it works:
- Check your inbox and take a few minutes each day to do your challenge—anytime, anywhere.
- If you can’t do the challenge, perform some other small, positive act.
- Stick with it. We’ll report back on how daily behavior makes a difference.
How great is that? I don’t know of any other bank that encouraged such positivity. Things like this are super encouraging to me and also make it more exciting to save money. Which is part of our planning goals for baby Williams.
It’s extremely important to me (and to Aaron of course) to make sure our children are taken care should anything happen to us. Also, in our planning goals is to have college, cars and major expenses children call for, covered. I never want to get to the point where it’s time to send my child off to college and there’s no money for them to follow their dreams. This is where optimism meets planning. It’s one thing to be optimistic about something but it’s another to implement that into action.
So, to head off this plan Aaron and I have, I’ve signed up for the Frost Bank 30 day plan to get the ball rolling. Repetition creates habit. In today’s climate this is exactly what we all should be doing. Taking this challenge can help in all aspects of your life. Whether you’re trying to lose weight, emotionally make tough decisions or simply just love a challenge, this is for you.
Join me in the next 30 days and let’s help keep one another accountable.
