Sure, New Year’s Eve already happened, but I’m still going to rock a sparkly cocktail dress in the middle of the day like it’s no biggie. This scallop-patterned sequin mini is by Windsor, which is one of my go to brands you’ve seen on the blog before.
It has a form-fitting, comfy mesh overlay, which the sequins are sewn onto. There’s not much else you need to do to make this piece stand out. It basically speaks for itself. Add a few bangles and a Kendra Scott ring, and you’re good to go.
By the way, who watched the Golden Globes last night?? It’s that time of year where we’ll start seeing all the awards shows, and I’m so excited. As you know, the Golden Globes gives out awards to television and film stars for amazing performances on screen. And Tina and Amy killed it again with their lightning-fast jokes onstage. Those two are inseparable. As for the awards, if any of you have seen the biopic of Stephen Hawking called “The Theory of Everything,” I highly recommend it. Eddie Redmayne, an English actor who plays Hawking, won an award last night for “Best Actor” in Drama. He’ll bring you to tears.
This weekend I also attended a birthday party for my friend’s 1-year-old. It was fantastic to be with some friends I hadn’t seen in a while, and to be reminded of the values of life and friendship. Witnessing a friend having a baby and taking care of that child shows you a new side of that person, and you can watch both of them grow in so many ways. I’m sure many of you have experienced watching that at some point, whether it’s a sibling, a niece, or a friend. All of the sudden that person’s world changes, and you can see the love and joy in a mom’s eyes. 
This week marks the second week of January. How are your resolutions going? You’ll notice the arrow tattoo in the picture above, which I got less than a year ago. The arrow is a symbol that symbolizes moving forward, staying on target, and never losing sight of your dreams. It also looks pretty darn cool with geometric bangles on my arms. Nothing like a fabulous outfit and a confident attitude on a sunny Monday afternoon.
