What doesn’t kill you only makes you stronger. That’s what they say, right? After this past season of “Bachelor in Paradise,” I realized that catchy little phrase is actually very, very true. I mean, who would have guessed that I’d go from America’s sweetheart girl to most hated? Yeah, that happened. It amazes me how people can honestly believe even half of what really goes on. Trust me, you have no idea.
Of course, I’m still sort of “locked down” with what I can and cannot say. So, let’s talk about what I can say. No, the show isn’t scripted, buuuuuut it is very manipulated. Contestants on the show are heavily encouraged and swayed into thinking more about a situation than what’s really going on. And what do you know, drama is born!
I find it really sad that the producers’ jobs are to skew the audience’s thoughts and positions on real people. They make a living by framing other peoples’ lives, oftentimes in a negative light. Who ever said, “Hey, I know! I want to be a master at manipulating people into hurting others”? Um, no one. At least I hope not. Whether you have to be manipulated in front of 5 million viewers or just in front of a single person, you all have people around you who get jealous or feel threatened by you. Maybe they have a rough life and you don’t. Whatever the case is, we become strong because there’s no other option.
So, listen. If I can be ok after the most hateful words were carelessly thrown my way by people who know nothing about my life, then you can get through the tough times and know that there is an end. I think this shirt proves my point very well. I wear this tee with pride. It’s bold, sporty, and shows that I am indeed a strong woman. You can be strong too in your positive attitude and in fashion. Killer combo.

AshLeee, before Bachelor in Paradise, I thought you were a classy and strong woman. After the show, I believe even more that you handle yourself with grace and class. Plus, everyone got to witness your awesome fashion sense.

I’ve never been on the show so I can only speak from the position of someone’s who’s watched it but, I don’t believe anyone can make you hurt others. I completely believe in manipulation, but own your actions. No one holds a gun to your head. That being said, I wish nothing but the best for your life.

I hope you don’t go on the show again. Now that you’ve revealed the truth about the manipulation, it wouldn’t be a good idea to go through that again. BTW, is there a way you can tell me which affiliate program you use for Rag and Bone? I use the GAP affiliate that you do on my site, but don’t have R&B. It’s great that you can make money when people purchase items you link to – I do this for a living so I’m always interested in finding new affiliates. You have so many! Glad you’re making a living with affiliate marketing — Bachelor/ BIP isn’t career-worthy.

Seriously LOVE LOVE LOVE this outfit!! It is one of my favorites! I’d love to win the $100 gift card. I’m a broke college student who just wants to dress cute!

I’ve also heard that about the show! I don’t believe much that goes on anymore. Someone always has to be the villain! I am still team ashlee!

People are jealous of you and feel threatened by you? Right. And did you actually refer to yourself as “America’s girl?”.. get over yourself!!

Thank you for taking the time to leave your comment on my blog. Sorry you misread what I was saying. The world would be a happier place without so much negative energy. At the end of the day, I am happy and blessed for the love and support God has given to me. I hope you can find joy the same way I have. Be love and not hate! xox AF
