No words need to be spoken when watching a Bali sunrise or sunset. They speak for themselves. Exploring Bali is breathtaking…an adventure of a lifetime.
One morning we watched the sunrise without speaking a word. Again, it’s breathtaking. It’s the perfect time to reflect on life. We are so small in this giant world. It’s funny how we worry about things that we can’t change. It runs in perfect harmony with the sunrise. You can’t stop the inevitable.
Today’s images were shot on the way to Mowies, on Gili Air Island. If you are ever in Indonesia then you need to visit this place. There are no cars, no motor vehicles. You get around the island by walking or taking a bicycle. The North part of the island is the quiet side and the South side of this 2 mile (about) island is where all the action is at. I found my favorite go to spots and quickly became a repeat customer.
1. Mowie’s – try everything! Sunsets here are by far the best spot on the island. Music is perfect and the staff is friendly. YOu can also stay here. I took a tour of the bungalows and on my return visit, will be staying here.
2. Coffee and Time – My morning drink of choice, Ginger & Thyme Latte. I came home and tried to make it but it wasn’t quite the same.
3. Warning, there is a Mosque in the center of the island. You will here it anywhere at 5:00 AM!
4. Chickens, roosters and cats all crow, at all times of the day! Don’t say I didn’t warn you. I think the cats have taken on the cry of a rooster…or is it the chickens?
Overall, Gili Air is a location you must travel to. It’s perfect for snorkeling and diving too. Turtles are a big thing around Bali and surrounding islands.
So live life to the fullest. Live every moment with all your heart and with happiness.
