I hope the open shoulder sweater never goes out of style. It’s so fun and relaxed. Not to mention super cozy. Makes me wanna grab a cutie and cuddle.
Speaking of cuddling, what’s up with the LA dating scene? Loving LA, but not so much the guys here. Seems like every guy I meet has a cloud of BS surrounding him. Although I’m not moving back to Houston anytime soon, I do miss the dating pool over there. Guys are little more…down-to-earth? I’m laughing because I’m probably being overly critical, but as a lady I do expect certain niceties from men.
Is it wrong to expect a guy to open a car door for me? What about asking me to dinner instead of saying “wanna hang” like we’re buddies or something and all the time? Yes, hanging out is fun. But I don’t “hang out” with guys I want to date every time we are together. I date them at the beginning. The hanging out comes once we actually get to know each other, and we’re comfortable sitting in our comfy clothes watching a movie. You know?
While I do have a tough skin, part of me still wants to be doted on. Only by the right guy though. I still need my space, but I also want to know that when we’re apart you’re still thinking about me, because I am likely thinking about you if I like you. It’s not complicated.
I’m not asking much, really. Maybe because our society is trying to be so politically correct all the time we don’t value genuine tradition anymore. My father taught me how a man should treat a woman (respect, honor, patience, chivalry, love, all those good things), and that’s what I’m sticking with.
