The Bachelor | Episode Eight

Monday nights on ABC…here we go. Let’s start with Becca. She’s been under the radar for a while, which always indicates a frontrunner. She is absolutely beautiful. She doesn’t look like the rest of the girls and she seems very kind. I took a snapshot of this below, because I’m in love with her yellow peplum shirt and brown boots. The statement necklace really tops it all off.

I love that Chris asks for forgiveness while genuinely trying to get to know Becca and her past. There is so much media hype surrounding the Bachelor, and in that moment, he seemed to forget about the cameras.

 “It’s FUN to watch her squirm.”

Come on, that’s just heartless. Britt’s human too, ya know. I don’t like the “mean girl” way the house is being towards Britt.  I’m not a fan of the snarky jokes in the ITMs. That’s all the attention I want to give this subject today.

I love Becca. I think she has a sweet heart. And she has a big family. Talk about first impressions!

“I make corn.”

I laughed when Chris said this. Whitney “makes babies,” which is a kind of funny way of saying that she works in a fertility lab.

“I’m pretty confident my soldiers are marching”

Let’s all admit it. Every one of us thought that when Whitney said, “let’s make babies,” and set up a room with the Playboy mags for Chris, we all expected to see Jade’s issue neatly rested on the countertop. Can you imagine if the producers did that?

Also, I never realized Chris was that funny until this episode. I think he is starting to get comfortable with his Bachelor role.

Hi, wait! Did she just come out from behind a dumpster? I wonder if this rap will make it on to iTunes…

What a great sport he is to do this. I think it’s adorable.

I love seeing the family’s reaction when each contestant walks through the door. This was one of my favorite moments during my whole journey. I missed my mom and dad so much. To share that moment on national television is honestly very special, and makes you feel proud of your upbringing. My dad is my world and it’s truly an honor to be his daughter. For the world to see my relationship with him means everything to me. That’s why I always look forward to watching the hometown visits.

I’m shocked ABC played as much as they did with Jade’s video. I’m glad Chris is open to giving her a chance by accepting her past. I can’t imagine how hard that must have been for Jade to reveal everything. I was freaking out when I had to tell my boyfriend’s family (and I wasn’t even dating him at that point yet) that I was going to be on “Bachelor in Paradise.”

In the end he let Jade go, and I do think he made the best choice for himself. It’s his show, at the end of the day, and if he’s really who he says he is, he’ll pick the perfect girl for himself.

Remember, for all you young girls who watch this show, this is a huge lesson to take to heart: The actions you choose to make today will follow you for the rest of your life. Choose wisely, and please don’t fall into the pressures of Hollywood and friends.
