Today’s post was going to be about the usual outfit of the day, but with the scare in Paris, I’d rather address some more serious and solemn issues. I think it’s sad that terrorism, unfortunately, is the what the usual has become.
It breaks my heart to see such an amazing and beautiful city under attack. Yesterday I posted on my Instagram #GlobalBullying. Some of you didn’t like that. The truth is, that’s what’s going on. Bullying has a vast spectrum, and terrorism is on the extreme end for sure. The definition of bullying is to use superior or brute force/influence to make a weaker person do something they don’t want to do. Now, we don’t know exactly what happened and why these terrorists did this horrid act, but the fear of the unknown is what they want us to be afraid of.
These people attacked because they did not agree with Charlie Hedbo’s cartoon drawings, and they wanted to prove some kind of stance of dominance. It disgusts me. It’s cowardly. To slaughter another human being is an example of complete hatred.
Now, to step off my soap box, let’s lighten the mood a little to talk about fashion. After all, I have all these pictures here and I won’t give these evil people any more of my precious blog time.
I’ll call this outfit “calm, cool, collected.” Nothing outrageous and nothing out of the box, but still stylish and fit for everyday activities. The relaxed cardigan sweater is by the one and only KB Kasuals (I think they take up half my wardrobe now, woops). Those cute little booties are from Steve Madden, who is having a raging sale now. The whole online store is practically on clearance.
