When it comes to beauty products I am all in. I love the feel of a good facial, the look of makeup and the idea of clean skin. It’s nothing new to you that I love hair products too. When you have a lot of hair it requires a lot of maintenance. I love this time of year because it’s the perfect time to get skin care issues taken care of. For the majority of time I am in doors and not baking in the sun. On top of sharing some of my latest buys I also wanted to give you top beauty gift giving ideas, such as Utopia Med Spa.
During fashion week I had my makeup done by Stila and my love for the brand began. I’ve managed to pick up an eyshadow pallet, foundation and their One Step Prime. All of which I am still learning how to proper apply. I never really have worn a lot of makeup so learning the application is a process.
Stila + Nars, my new go-to.
Since NYFW I went to Sephora to look for a Stila pallet and ended up finding some Nars makeup. Pretty much all my current makeup consist of Stila and Nars and a little Bobbie Brown. But I’m not complaining. They are all three working perfectly for me. I couldn’t think of a better gift giving idea to any lady in your life.
At the Nars counter at Saks Fifth Avenue (in the Galleria) I met Tiffany. She’s really been amazing. She’s done my makeup twice and has been teaching me some great technics. One is how to properly place my eyeliner on both upper and the lower eyelid. The lower lid: on the inner part of the eye. The upper lid: only in the inner crease next to the lash line. This gives the eye a fuller look where I prefer my lash lady not put any lashes (they bother me and twist too much in that spot). If you follow my stories then you’ve probably seen me talking about Tiffany and her technic.
On to gifting ideas.
One idea I think would be a little unusual but still very personal and cool is to give the gift of a facial. Facials are a personal thing as everyone’s skin is so different. However gifting a gift card to your local med spa is a fabulous idea. For those here in Houston, I recommend Utopia. I wouldn’t recommend just anyone and I’ve done a great deal of research, looking for a great med spa. Utopia Med Spa is one of the best rated. My experience has been nothing short of amazing. This isn’t a paid sponsorship, I’m sharing my real experience! I have the skin to back it up.
A little about Utopia Med Spa:
Lauren was the first and only one that I’ve had do my facial… and she’s really great. The first time I used her I wanted to personally talk to her about some concerns I had going on with my skin. For example, I’m allergic to what’s called Balsam of Peru. It’s an ingredient that is (unfortunately) in a lot of product. The problem is, it isn’t legally required for companies to actually put in all the ingredients they use to create the great product. Unbelievable, right? That’s what Im saying. Anyway, Lauren looked up this ingredient and gave me a personal phone call to talk about my concerns. Lauren has also helped me harrow down what I can and can not use and do for my skin. No other company has that done for me. Typically I’m doing all the leg work.
How about a facial for the holidays or a birthday?
Utopia Med Spa is more than just a facial spa. They also do, botox, fillers and plastic surgery. If you’re looking for a mommy makeover or to have breast augmentation done then I’d recommend setting up an appointment to talk to Dr. Rose. I’ve seen him myself for some procedures I’m interested in. He’s very educated…to say the least. Not to mention they carry high end beauty gift giving ideas, such as creams, oils and serums. These are also good beauty ideas to add under the Christmas tree or in a stocking.
All in all, beauty products always make a great Christmas, birthday or a “just because” gift. Below I’m listing some sale ads I found that you may be interested in.
