Many of you have asked what my nightly routine is. Finally, here it is. I am in a Kiehl’s obsession right now. I even use their shampoo and conditioner sometimes. I’ll save that one for another blog entry.
Cleanser: I’ve used Obagi for years, but I like to change product from time to time. After a while, my skin gets used to a certain product and the product just doesn’t work like it once did. So right now I’m using Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Cleanser. It’s lightweight and gets my skin extremely clean without any harshness.
Toner: I use toner after every wash, both morning and night. Kiehl’s Since 1851 Ultra Facial Toner gently removes any left-over debris from cleansing and it helps prepare my skin for moisturizer.
Serum: This is my favorite step. Kiehl’s Midnight Recovery Concentrate smells amazing…like lavender. It regenerates, repairs, and replenishes my skin for smoother, healthier skin.
Eye Cream: I consider this the most important step. If I have a daughter, this will be a must in her nightly regimen. “Natural brighteners instantly smooth and illuminate the area around the eyes.” I use Kiehl’s Since 1851 Rosa Arctica Eye as my nightly cream because I like how it’s heavier than my morning cream. I like that feeling of deep moisturizing in the evening, but if that just isn’t your thing, try the Kiehl’s Rosa Arctica Light.
Moisturizer: For my nightly routine, I use Kiehl’s Since 1851 Ultra Facial Moisturizer. It’s a little on the heavy side, but without being greasy. I can’t stand that ick feeling of a greasy moisturizer. If you take away one thing from this entry, let it be this: ALWAYS MOISTURIZE. Did you know that keeping your skin moisturized is the key to preventing breakouts?
Lip Moisturizer: You can’t forget the sweetest part of your face. I am a lip moisturizer junkie. Yes, I finish an entire tube. How many of you can actually do that before losing it or having it go old? Taking care of your kisser should be a natural thing you do right before going to sleep. Once you get into this habit, you will begin to notice a difference.
Stay tuned for my morning routine favorites.
