I thought I’d chat with you about some wish list weekend dreaming I’ve been having lately. My satellite has shifted a lot lately and my nesting phase started in full effect this past week. From playroom ideas to kitchen tables. I’m ready to get our new house in order and ready for our baby girls arrival. Who knows when I’ll have time after she gets here to finish decorating.
Table Talk
I’ll start with a huge regret, our dining table. I get so many compliments on it when people come over but now I’m wishing I would have purchased a large round table and opened up the space more. Since our living room, dining and kitchen has an open concept I’m really wanting to keep it that way. Here are some that I’m loving right now.
Playroom Sofa
One thing that is more on the must have list is a sofa for the upstairs living room/playroom. My plan is to nurse in this room vs in the bedroom. Since we will have a nanny come in the morning I plan on taking on the night duty. I feel bad for Aaron having to get up every single night with the baby when he has to go to work. His job isn’t the same as mine…he has to show up. But when the weekend comes, it’s daddy duty! Here are some of my favorites and what I’ve narrowed it down to so far. I’m probably sticking to Tov Furniture since it’s durable and at a fair “playroom” price. Not to mention I get something cute to sit on and enjoy. I wanted a combo of kid friendly and luxury looking. Aaron loves the lighter blue sofa.
Rug Delight
One of my favorite things to hunt for is a rug. It’s not easy to find exactly what I like but when I see it…I know! It’s kind of like finding the perfect piece of art. I think any of these three would look beautiful with any of the couches I’ve narrowed it down to. Which set are you drawn to? I need opinions…I’m a libra after all.

Playroom sofa should have a washable slipcover. Check Quatrine. Worth every penny. Every piece I own except antiques are Quatrine. One sofa has three slip covers to change up the look.

I like any of the sofas with the black polka dot rug. Those big black dots are going to be your best friend for kiddos in a playroom to hide stains. It’s kids. Stains happen! I think the black will disguise well.
